Stroke coding - one of the most common methods of personalization.
Consistently placed on the black stripes on a white (usually) the background contain coded alphanumeric information. Read it and to process data by using the scanner.
For use on plastic card variable barcodes using dye-sublimation printer, causing a permanent stroke coding is executed on an offset machine.
Despite the fact that the most common background for the application of bar code is a white background can be found gold, silver or even red. All other shades of the background substantially reduce the quality of the information read the code.
Read all standard linear bar code horizontally. Most often these standards:
- Code128 (UCC/EAN-128)
- Codabar, EAN
- "Interleaved 2 of 5"
- UPC (UPC-A, UPC-E)
The smallest possible size of the bar code width - 2.5 cm, height - 1 cm away from the edge of a plastic card to the bar code must be at least 3 mm. Otherwise, the stringent requirements for the location of the barcode on the surface of the card does not exist, but, of course, it should be possible to read any other information.
Apply the barcode on a plastic card with the sublimation thermal transfer, or by offset printing.
The weak side of the bar code - the relative simplicity of its forgery. For this reason, the barcode is rarely the only type of card personalization, and more often used in combination with other methods.
